Sandy Springs Community Church

Sandy Springs Community Church hopes to reach the world for Jesus Christ, one family at a time. Our focus is on strengthening the family by serving in the local elementary schools and hospitals, providing support groups for marriages and parenting. We also provide an after-school program to help students with their schoolwork. Many of the parents don’t speak English, so one way we are able to help meet their needs is by serving their children.

Sandy Springs Community Church wants to be a place people in our community turn when they are going through difficult times. We have made ourselves available to the Sandy Springs network of hospitals, including the children’s hospital, making counseling and support available when they encounter a family in crisis.

Sandy Springs Community Church started meeting for worship in November 2010 in a second-language school. We have been meeting about twice a month since and are encouraged by the growth we have encountered. The school has recently expanded our meeting space to accommodate our growing numbers.

Sandy Springs Community Church not only wants to be a place of refuge and healing, but also a place of equipping and sending. Our ministry requires us to really hone in on relationships and needs. Building one-on-one relationships takes time, can be messy, and is often a challenge, but we believe that is what it will take to reach this community for Christ. We are also working with a smaller revenue source, so we must be creative in raising funds.

We would like to see this community blanketed in prayer, particularly the area around schools and hospitals. Our prayer for this community is that God would convict people of sin and bring them to a place where they will seek Him for the peace and life that only comes from a saving relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
