POTENTIAL CHURCH PLANTER INFORMATION


We at the Urban Atlanta Church Planting are excited about your interest in partnering with us in starting a new church! In order to facilitate the start of healthy, reproducing congregations and be good stewards of God’s resources, we have implemented an assessment process that enhances our ability to identify those God calls to start New Testament churches inside the perimeter of Atlanta. Since success rises and falls on leadership, every potential church planter must go through a spiritually based selection process to assess his ability to successfully start a church. This assessment covers three primary areas in the church planter’s life: (a) calling, (b) spiritual gifts, and (c) predictive performance.

Complete the UACP Potential Church Planter Profile

You may complete it online, you can download it, or we will mail or email you a document that you can complete and mail or email back to us. If you want to complete it online, click on the link at the bottom of this page after you have finished reading all the information. There is also a link at the bottom of the page to download it. If you want us to mail or email you the form, click on "Contact Us" in the Main Menu and send a message to the Interim UACP Strategist, Jim Haskell, through the form there or by using the contact information found there.

Complete the PIF (for GBC/NAMB Partnerships only)

For those church planters who, in addition to partnership with UACP, desire to partner with the Georgia Baptist Convention and the North Amercian Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention AND want to apply for a salary supplement through GBC/NAMB, you will also need to download and complete the PIF (Personnel Information Form). The PIF also contains Missionary Personnel Policies and Guidelines for those who seek salary supplement through GBC/NAMB. This form is a fill-in MS Word document. Send a copy of your resume and a one page statement describing your call to church planting

We would also like for you to send us a copy of your resume. Also include a one page statement telling us about your sense of call to planting a church. You may send the resume and the statement to Jim Haskell by mail or email. (See addresses below.)

Once we have reviewed your information we will contact you to plan for follow up conversations to discuss possible next steps.

You can complete the UACP Potential Church Planter's Profile. Click on the link below to begin. It is a brief form that must be completed and submitted at one time. (You will not have the option to save it for later.) It asks for such information as your name and address, a statement of your personal mission in life, and three references. (If at least three references are included on your resume, you won't need to repeat them.) It will also ask about some experiences of life and for permission for UACP to conduct background checks. Don't forget to send a resume when you have completed the form! The form will be attached to your resume.
