It is the vision of Empowering Life Christian Church to build a congregation of strong and effective believers in Christ that will glorify God through effective evangelism, true worship, effective fellowship, disciplined discipleship, and effective ministry.
Empowering Life Christian Church started in August of 2009 with the mission of encouraging the discouraged, loving the unlovable, and reaching the unreachable that society has cast away. We want to empower impoverished communities both spiritually and financially by teaching people to feed themselves on that which can truly satisfy, the Word on the God.
We have a high percentage of unchurched in our community, so the harvest is certainly plentiful, but being in an impoverished area means that resources are often scarce.
Our prayer is that Empowering Life Christian Church will see both spiritual and financial growth this year. We would love to have teams come to help us prayerwalk our community, put on a Vacation Bible School, and feed the homeless in this area.

Gregory Sinkfield
Gregory Sinkfield grew up in the Adamsville area of Atlanta. After high school he served a total of 15 years in the regular Army and National Guard in Georgia and Texas. While stationed in Germany at age 19, Bishop Sinkfield gave his life to Christ. In 1994 Bishop Sinkfield answered his call into the ministry and in 2003 he was ordained by Pastor Avery Simms of Henderson Memorial Baptist Church in Decatur. In 2004 Bishop Sinkfield he moved to Dallas, Texas where he received orders for a tour of military duty in Romania. While there, he acted as Battalion Chaplain in addition to his daily duties and earned an Army Achievement Medal for his efforts. In 2005, Bishop Sinkfield cofounded Glory of God Church and served as assistant pastor until 2006. In December 2007 he was consecrated Bishop with Agape International Fellowship, Dallas, TX.
In 2008 he moved back to Atlanta, and in August 2009 founded Empowering Life Christian Church. He is married to the beautiful Erica J. Sinkfield and together they have five children. Bishop Sinkfield has his bachelor’s in theology and is currently enrolled in the MDiv program at Seed Faith School of Ministry and Seminary, Forrest Park. |
