Bezalel Church is a church plant focusing on “creatives” in Atlanta, Georgia. We want to be known as a church that serves and ministers to both the physical and spiritual needs of the Atlanta arts community. Bezalel Church praises God for creativity and imagination and we celebrate using the arts to bring glory to Him. We desire to become a place where creative people can worship God in the way He has wired them. We desire to see these culture-makers discipled into on-mission believers who can change the world for Christ.

Reaching creatives for Christ requires the investment of a significant amount of time in order to build relationships. Many creatives have had negative experiences with the church and are resistant to the gospel. Because of the nature of Bezalel Church, we use third party spaces for worship and Bible studies.  Finances to rent these spaces are always a huge need.

We would love to enlist partners to pray for us. We realize that this privilege comes first and nothing else will succeed if not covered in prayer. We need financial help to secure meeting space and provide for our other church planting needs. We are looking for core team members and volunteers to come to the city to help us serve the arts community. We need hands and feet!

Bezalel began forming small groups in 2009. We now meet for worship on Sunday mornings at 11:00am at the Balzer Theater at Herren’s. We also offer creative small groups which meet weekly.

We dream of the time when our members will be fully equipped and serving wherever God has placed them.

Kerry and Twyla Jackson

Kerry has been a professional artist since he was a teenager. With a fine arts degree from Mississippi State University, Kerry has been involved in various art-related vocations. In 1991, God placed a call upon his life to serve in ministry using the talents and gifts given to him. Kerry is the lead church planter/pastor of Bezalel Church. He is a leader for Southern Baptists in reaching Cultural Creatives for Christ. Kerry also is president of Drawing to the Rock Ministries, Inc. He travels all over the world leading in visual worship. Besides his art degree, Kerry also holds a Masters in Communication Arts from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Twyla has a love for music and theater. She is gifted in ministering to the needs of people. She feels called to mentor and disciple young believers in their walk with God. Using her gifts within the church is just the beginning for Twyla. Twyla has many years of experience in the medical field as a registered dietitian and currently works at Southern Regional Hospital to support the family. She enjoys networking for evangelism through volunteering at several arts venues in Atlanta. Twyla holds degrees from Mississippi University for Women and the University of Alabama Birmingham.
